Krysta Salyan - Intake / Finance Manager

Krysta has been working with developmentally disabled clients for the past four years. Her customer service skills are excellent, which is why she fits her role as Intake and Finance Manager. She fills the position as Rep Payee for clients that need some help managing their personal funds. She is very diligent in handling their money and making sure that accurate records are maintained and audited on a monthly basis.

Her background includes employment in a nursing home during high school and then following graduation. She connected well with the residents and always took time to talk to them. She has always been a people person - or as we often say, " a people magnet". Krysta has always been drawn to children and decided to work at Giant Eagle in the Eagles Nest. She was promoted to manager and was responsible for training and supervising staff. She also enjoyed maintaining a very child - friendly atmosphere, using her creative skills to keep the center pleasant and eye-appealing to the kids. She spent time working one-on-one with the children, from playing games to coloring and reading. Parents felt very comfortable with her and often left high reviews of her with store management.

Krysta decided after ten years with Giant Eagle to try something new. She took on a position with a car dealer, working in the finance department and serving customers. This was a position in which her customer service skills were used daily, both through phone and direct customer contact. She also was able to enhance her skills in the area of finance, handling money, and organizational skills in a business office setting. Unfortunately the dealership closed and Krysta had to decide what she wanted to do next in her life.

Krysta took on a job at a daycare and decided to return to school. She has always been interested in the nursing field. For the last couple years she has been juggling going to school, working and raising a family. She began working in this field, first as the Executive Secretary to the owner of a small home-care company in Euclid, now working with Victory HomeCare taking care of finances for the business and clients as well as handling the Intake area. She is the first point of contact for clients and our community partners. She attends new client interviews and ISP meetings with the owner in order to get to know each client that decides to work with the company. She really enjoys talking with the clients and helping them to feel comfortable with the services provided. Krysta also works with the caregivers, providing training on various topics as well as distributing required client paperwork and reviewing it each month.
